Busybox fdisk problems

This can sometimes happen if the devices can't be read properly.
What's the output of `cat /proc/partitions`?
You should see some devices like /dev/sda f.ex. and all the partitions
on this device listed there.
Does `fdisk -l /dev/$device` work then if forced to directly read the
partition talbe from $device?
