udhcpc general questions

Hello,

I seem to be lost when understanding the power of udhcpc (and even more so when looking at the source).

If I can't negotiate a lease, does udhcpc automatically support ZCIP? If not, I think I'll start udhcpc and zcip both at the same time and write scripts to get the lease or the zcip address.

What do the options do?
--vendorclass
--clientid

With reference to my previous email about obtaining a lease, I can't see how the option -R (--release) is used. I don't see my script being called with "deconfig" except on initialisation. Is this expected?

Under what circumstances would my script be called with $1==nak? with $1==renew?
