udhcp parameters when called from interfaces file

I am sure I found this before, but can't find it again.  Must be googling 
the wrong phrase.

where can I change the default behaviour for the command line for udhcpc to 
use when called from interface file, so I can make it fork to background if 
lease isnt immediately obtained?
