I must say I that I admire you for even trying contributing. It must be
very frustrating to not be able to make yourself understood.

So if I understand you correctly you are trying to say that you are
afraid to express your opinions because you are afraid that the project
maintainer will do the opposite just because the opinion comes from you.

or something like that...?
