2.6.13, 2.6.16 and 2.6.9 all show the same problem on two different
hosts.
I copied my compiled busybox binary to another host on the web and
tried to "./busybox ps" on this machine and it also doesn't show up
process names.

Yes, but for testing purposes I downloaded the latest daily snapshot
now:

Oh, cool, and it works. No problem anymore.
I used the same configuration file for compiling the new snapshot
(copied .config and did make oldconfig && make).
Maybe something went wrong during the compile process, because according
to diff, there are no differences in libbb/procps.c and procps/ps.c...
But maybe the problem was located in any other file... Doesn't matter
now, it works and that is good.
