P.S. I've noticed that my tendency to say "no" to things as releases approach
(a basic editorial need if the release is ever to ship) combines with the
stress of dealing with the accumulated backlog into a tendency to get really
snappy and snarl at people.

Sorry about that.

Releases are not good times to try to argue for new features. Unless it's
really, really compelling I'm just going to say no to it because I'm trying
to get a release out. Pushing me on this means I push back, hard.

About a week after the release, the tree opens up again and I back way the
heck off and let other people take point while I go off and work on my own
things...
