Are you saying it's impossible to use a 2.4 kernel without devfs, or are you 
saying you don't think it's possible for me to remove this from BusyBox if I 
decide to do so?

If you're saying it _shouldn't_ be removed until BusyBox stops supporting 2.4, 
I'll take that under advisement.
