What's an mdns, and how does it differ from the dnsd we've got in the tree
now? (Which I still haven't had a chance to look much at. I miss the days
when I could read existing code in the tree and write new code rather than
rushing to keep up with an endless stream of other people's new patches...
But it's on my to-do list.)

What _is_ it?
Ctrl-alt-google: http://www.multicastdns.org/

If it uses the same packet formats, we should be able to extend our current
dns daemon to do it. Eventually...
