Me sticks my head in the sand after recompiling busybox with the right 
(tm) compiler and seeing that it just works! Along with timezones and 
DNS resolving I complained earlier...

I would never thought of that, since exporting TZ from shell worked so I 
figured that libc is not used (although now I know that TZ string can be 
used with glibc too).
