Rob,
I have my own pet mods (which I hadn't gotten to by press time for the last
release). I'd be glad to collaborate on a fixup. Might be delayed for a
few weeks or so, depending on various factors beyond my control, such as
falling asleep and having my head impact the keyboard.

The reason I haven't put more effort into this is that wget and ftpget share
no code at all, and every time I look at it I want to merge them but haven't
got time just then.
