Here is a patch to modprobe's usage.

The conf.modules file is deprecated, as man modprobe.old (pre-2.6) says. As of
2.6, modprobe uses modprobe.conf, and falls back to modules.conf, which is
what we currently do (good).

The usage describes what BB modprobe _ought_ to do, not what it is currently
doing. I'm preparing a list of problems with current modprobe. A post on that
later.
