[BusyBox] httpd and init

This may not be the right way to go about it - but i was trying to use init to respawn httpd, so its always running. However init just seems to keep respawning httpd, so i get a load of bind address problems as init trys to continually respawn it. I've read a thread that happened to mention someone else trying this and was after a -f option as -v creates a foreground httpd but prevents forking. Anyway it got a bit confusing and i couldn't work out if the foreground option had been included. -f does not appear to be a valid option.
Any ideas would be great.
My inittab entry:
::respawn:/sbin/httpd -h /www
Thanks
Andrew
