Ok, new rule:
If it's going to go into 1.0.1, it should already be in 1.1. (And I guess
that means the trivial mv fix should go into 1.1, to be ripped out again when
we do the big cleanup later.)
I'm not arguing against applying all these new bug fixes to 1.1, I'm saying
let's fix up 1.1 while we're preparing 1.0.1 so we haven't got stuff pending
in both directions. (I really don't want to try to keep track of both
forward ports _and_ backports at the same time.)
If some patch just doesn't apply to 1.1 because the whole area of code got
rewritten, fine. As long as the the issue is somehow addressed in 1.1, life
is good...
