[BusyBox] busybox->reboot/halt not working: looking for How to do

Hi all,
   Using busybox i created one bootable cd (Pauls Boot
CD). it uses sulogin to login into the shell now the
problem is, the shell is not responding to reboot/halt
command. There is no effect and show only shell prompt
on next line.
    i think that i have to write some script. but i
don't know
 what to write in the script?
 where to put these scripts?
 How to give call to this scripts?
 also if i want to executes some tasks (like umounting
all mounted drives) before exiting from the shell, how
i can automate that?

I am looking for overall process for that.
