[BusyBox] can't ping localhost

Has any one ever seen where they can't ping localhost, I can ping 127.0.0.1 or anything else but not localhost.

Using Busybox-1.0.0-rc3

My Files look like this

hostname.conf
thinix.thinix

hosts
127.0.0.1         localhost

hosts.conf
order hosts,bind
multi on

nsswitch.conf
hosts:    files dns
networks:  files
services:    files
protocols:    files
netmask:    files

networks
loopback    127.0.0.0


I am at a loss of what I am missing!?!?!?
