Product: Busybox
Version: 1.0pre8
Two small utility programs that would be of use to many people (myself
included) if they were to be included as Busybox applets are:
[/sbin/]usbmodules and [/sbin/]pcimodules.
These programs map USB and PCI vendor and product IDs to module names
using the /lib/modules/<kernel-release>/modules.{usbmap,pcimap} files
generated by depmod from symbol tables in kernel modules. They can form
the basis of a very basic hotplug and/or coldplug system, which is
becoming increasingly more important, particularly with respect to Linux
2.6 kernels.
usbmodules is part of the usbutils distribution, whereas pcimodules is
provided in a patch for the pciutils distribution (Google for
pciutils-2.1.11-pcimodules-1.patch).
Just a suggestion.
