The same logic could be applied to the init, or to the kernel, or the hardware 
overheating, or a hard drive crash...

You're providing code to defend against a non-problem so that if it did out of 
the blue start to happen, you could band-aid it instead of fixing it.  This 
kind of defensive programming sort of defeats the purpose of busybox, doesn't 
it?
