BusyBox 1.0.0-rc3 released
-----------------------------------------------------------

Here goes release candidate 3... With a bit of luck, this
should fix up the last of the remaining problems people have
been complaining about, especially the broken escape handling in
-rc2 and some lingering module handling weirdness.

BusyBox is in pretty good shape at the moment. The 1.0.0
release has been in development for roughly two and a half years
now, and I think that is long enough. There will eventually be
a 1.0.1 anyway, so we might as well get on with it. BusyBox is
not perfect, and no piece of software ever is. So while there
is still plenty that could be done to improve things, most of
that work is waiting till we can get a solid 1.0.0 release out
the door.... As such, I'm feeling rather inclined to release
1.0.0 at the end of the week, basically as is... Please give
this one a merciless beating, since this may well be IT.

Given the imminent release, please do not bother to send in
patches adding cool new features and brand new applets at this
time. Only bug-fix patches will be accepted, and even bug fixes
had better be very specific and painfully obvious to be accepted.
Rewriting that applet that annoys you is right out -- there will
be a new development tree opened soon enough to accommodate such
 things.

If you have submitted a painfully obvious bug-fixing patch to
the BusyBox mailing list and no one has emailed you explaining
why your patch was rejected, it is likely your patch has been
lost or forgotten. Please re-submit your patch to the BusyBox
mailing list, and be sure to put "[PATCH]" at the beginning of
 the email subject line.

As usual you can visit the website
         http://www.busybox.net/
to download the Changelog, grab a copy of BusyBox, check the
 mailing list archives, etc.
