[BusyBox] Problem with mount options

Hello all,
I am using "busybox-0.60.5.tar.gz" package. I mount a harddisk by the following
command as a Super user :
#mount -t vfat /dev/hda1 -w /harddisk. The mounting works fine and I am able to
read and write as super user, but when a non-root user trys to access the
harddisk it says permission denied. The chmod on the /harddisk directory as no
effect on the permissions.
Is there someway a non-root user can access the harddisk. I guess options to
mount such as user, defaults have no effect on the mount command.
Thanks for the help in advance
Sathish
