[BusyBox] chroot, cannot execute /bin/ash or bash

hi
i tried to chroot into my system on the harddrive to execute lilo 
again, but it didnt worked
the system is mounted under /mnt
but if i try : chroot /mnt/ /bin/ash
i always get : chroot : cannot execute /bin/ash : no such file or 
directory

the ash shell is the one on the floppy and i copied it to /mnt/bin/

the systm is build with uclibc, to test i copied the libs to 
/mnt/lib/i386...
but nothing worked, wheres my mistake ?
