[BusyBox] Ash reading /etc/profile

Hi everybody,

I'm trying to set variables in /etc/profile, but I'm running into
problems setting the PATH.

If my /etc/profile looks like this
export DAVE=asdf
export PATH=$PATH:/mypath      or anything else for that matter

then after I log in and run "set" I will see that DAVE is correctly set
at asdf, but PATH will be set at the default busybox path.  How can I
change this so that ash will set the default path before reading
/etc/profile.
