I did. But I must have messed something up since then I got a
bunch of email saying that the lists were dead. So I disabled
the filtering and havn't had the time to go back and revisit the
spam filtering.

If there are any gurus out there who have mastered the art of
integrating spamassassin, postfix, and mailman, and who have time
to help me make it all behave, please speak up.

I think the latter is a possibility. The only concern I have is
adding yet another burden to my already quite limited time... I
_hate_ spam and I certanly hope spammers are the first against
the wall when the revolution comes[1], but that said, I never saw
the email in question since I _do_ have spamassassin working
locally (just not yet filtering the mailing lists) so the spam in
question, like so many other diet plans, hosting offers,
investment opportunities, etc went strait to /dev/null.
Unfortunately, since it hit the list, the list then spread it
around, which is a total waste of my limited bandwidth. Grumble.
I _will_ get the spam filtering in place (and working) soon, I
promise.
