[Erik: I have resent this mail to the ml, since it got lost somehow]
After heavy testing of the new suid/sgid handling by vodz and an "ok, commit
it" from Erik, I have commited a few big patches to CVS head.
1) Integrate suid handling. Actually two types: (a) the simple tinylogin
method and (b) a runtime configureable system via /etc/busybox.conf which is
mainly based on vodz' ideas (docu is being worked on...)
2) Patch the bb builtin pwd* and grp* function handling (this was severly
broken in many places)
3) Based on the two patches above: Part I of tinylogin integration. So far
su.c and login.c have been ported by me (ported is the wrong word -- they
have been nearly rewritten). vlock.c should work, but I have not yet tested
it. The rest (passwd.c and sulogin.c) is not ported yet .. volunteers ;) ?
4) Hope it works for everyone...

leave that to the maintenance people.
