Hello,
This sounds like the same problem I had reported a few months ago.
If anyone has experienced this, and worked around/fixed it, please let
us know.

Subject: [BusyBox] booting problems...
Hello!
I have compiled the kernel, uclibc and busybox and downloaded everything
to PowerPC FADS 850.
When the machine boots up, I see all of the kernel messages,. The kernel
tells me that it has found a compressed ramdisk image, then that it has
mounted /dev as devfs etc. The last thing the kernel says, is that it is
freeing unused kernel memory, then, when I wait for init messages
("Serial console detected ... init started", etc), I get nothing. In
linux/init/main.c I enter in
execve("/sbin/init",argv_init, envp_init);
and I don't exit. I think the problem is here. /sbin/init is a symbolic
link to bin/busybox. Is it possible that it can't find/solve it? And
why? Could be a ramdisk problem?
I'm using :
gcc 2.95.2
kernel 2.4.7
uclibc
Thanks very much!
Stefania
