[BusyBox] Suitable Web Server, anyone?

As long as my router is working OK, I don't mind. On the other side,
however, it might be cool to have a small web server to spit out some
status info.
Currently I am playing around with micro_inetd (see http://www.acme.com)
and a simple shell script that either cats some static info or runs some
script. That's working fine so far and I am implementing basic
authentication so that not everyone and their brother is peeking at the
data.

OTOH, why re-invent the wheel? Does anyone know a *small* web server that
does .cgi and supplies basic authentication?
The smallest I found was mini_httpd (again from http://www.acme.com), but
that one doesn't run off inetd and I'd rather have as little as possible
stuff running. micro_httpd doesn't have .cgi and authentication.

Ideas? Encouragement?

With Kind Regards
