Just so the three people who grabbed a copy of
  http://recycle.lbl.gov/~ldoolitt/ifconfig.c
don't waste their time debugging it, I want to tell them
that there is a fresh copy that looks like it works.

This fixed version is adapted to the latest CVS busybox.
File size is 9811 bytes of c code, and the result is 2149
bytes of text object, compared to 3054 bytes of Bjorn's
original submission.  Bjorn's effort is much appreciated;
extracting usable code from net-tools is a mess!
