I made a crc32 command from the code in gunzip. I thought it would would work as a cksum command as provided by gnu textutils, but it seems gnu cksum's does not produce the same crc value that gzip -l <file> --verbose produces. So is a crc32 command of any value (it is quite small), if not i will delete what i have Glenn
