            Bug ID: 11651
Summary: "Value too large for defined data type" error on 64
                    bit machine
           Product: Busybox
           Version: 1.27.x
          Hardware: All
                OS: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P5
         Component: Other
          Assignee: unassigned at busybox.net
          Reporter: chanseok at google.com
                CC: busybox-cvs at busybox.net
  Target Milestone: ---

(The error and its cause have been identified in the issue of the Distroless
image repo:
https://github.com/GoogleContainerTools/distroless/issues/225#issuecomment-458239292)

The Distroless image installs the following binary.

https://busybox.net/downloads/binaries/1.27.1-i686/busybox

Many people reported doing "ls" sometimes gives the "Value too large for
defined data type". Someone said that this is due to the 64-bit inode, and the
busybox should be compiled with, e.g., _FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 (and possible more
flags?)
