In my opinion, the old text:

Usage: popmaildir [OPTIONS] MAILDIR [CONN_HELPER ARGS]

Fetch content of remote mailbox to local maildir

Options:
	-s Skip authorization
-T Get messages with TOP instead with RETR
-k Keep retrieved messages on the server
	-t SEC Network timeout
-F "PROG ARGS"	Filter program. May be multiple
	-M "PROG ARGS"	Delivery program

was not clear enough to actually understand how to connect to POP3 server.
