Summary: kernel module autoloading does not work (modprobe
issue)
Description:
When the kernel wants to load a module it exeecutes /sbin/module
(configurable vía /proc/sys/kernel/modprobe), and it does without setting
up the PATH environment variable.

Busybox's modprobe uses insmod/rmmod to insert/remove modules, but it
relies on them being available in the PATH. Thus when it is the kernel who
executes modprobe, it fails miserably (can't execute insmod).
