But why gcc behaves different?
BR+gcc5+uClibc-ng-1.0.17 - no extra -static in LDFLAGS required
BR+gcc5+musl+static - no extra -static in LDFLAGS required
BR+gcc5+uClibc-ng-1.0.19 - extra -static required!
