[Buildroot] BeagleBoard-xM, booting 2.6.37, root=/dev/mmcblk0p2, kernel hangs

maybe a silly question.....have you tested your kernel/build via NFS....ie
"tftp boot uImage" & "NFS mount rootfs"?
